On Friday, September 29th, Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) took a tour of PayPal’s offices in Hunt Valley and led a town hall discussion with employees at the facility. In addition to representing our facilities in Hunt Valley and Timonium, Senator Van Hollen, is a member of the Senate Banking Committee, which has jurisdiction over many of PayPal’s key policy issues.
The visit began with a tour of both buildings that make up our Hunt Valley campus, led by Barbara Pratt, Hunt Valley’s Director of Credit Operations. Along with GR, Barbara explained to the Senator the work that our employees at the facility do to keep our credit business running day to day.
Following the tour, Senator Van Hollen, led a town hall discussion with PayPal employees from both Hunt Valley & Timonium facilities. The employees in attendance asked the Senator questions on a variety of topics covering data security, FinTech regulation and innovation, gentrification of Baltimore and public transportation in the region.
PayPal thanks Senator Van Hollen for visiting our Hunt Valley office and taking the time to meet with our employees. We look forward to continuing to build a strong relationship with the Senator and educate him on PayPal’s business and policy priorities.
